Garage Doors of Grand Rapids ("we", "us") operates garagedoorsofgrandrapids.com. This policy sets out what we collect when you contact us or use this site, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Information you give us. When you call, text or send a service request, we collect your name, phone number, service address, email address where you provide one, and whatever you tell us about the problem with your door. We collect this because we cannot schedule or carry out a repair without it.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our host records standard technical information: IP address, browser type, the pages visited and the time of the visit. This is used to keep the site working and to understand which pages are useful. It is not used to build a profile of you.
What we do not collect. We do not ask for or store payment card numbers on this website. We do not collect Social Security numbers, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
To respond to your enquiry, schedule and carry out work, contact you about an appointment, send an invoice or receipt, and keep a service record so that if you call again we know what was done last time. We also use aggregate site statistics to improve the pages here.
If you give us your mobile number we may text you about your appointment: confirmations, technician arrival, and follow-up on a job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of further texts, or HELP for assistance. Opting out of texts does not stop us calling you about a job you have booked.
We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text message consent with third parties for their own marketing. Consent to receive texts from us is not shared with anyone else for any purpose.
Only where it is necessary to do the work or run the business: the technician attending your job, a payment processor if you pay by card, and service providers who host this site or handle our phone system. Those providers may only use the information to provide their service to us.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety or our legal rights. We do not sell personal information.
Service records are kept for as long as needed to support a warranty claim, meet tax and accounting obligations, or resolve a dispute. Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept for a short period and then removed.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email privacy@garagedoorsofgrandrapids.com and we will respond. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, and out of marketing email using the unsubscribe link.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections on this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
